Frozen Chocolate Pie
This fast and easy recipe for Frozen Chocolate Pie is both luscious and delicious. For more fun, try your own variations to put a twist on the recipe (see some suggestions below). Either way, you will receive many compliments on this Frozen Chocolate Pie!
Ingredients:
1 pastry pie shell, pre-baked and cooled
2 pkgs.(3.4 oz) instant chocolate pudding
2 cups milk (lowfat is fine)
1 8 oz. container whipped topping, thawed
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tbls. powdered sugar
Directions:
Mix chocolate pudding and milk for 2 minutes until smooth. Let pudding set for another 2
minutes. Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until combined.
Pour pudding mixture into pie crust.
Place heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Whip on high speed until peaks form. Do not overwhip.
Spread whipped cream over pie.
Cover and chill in freezer 3-4 hours. Enjoy your Frozen Chocolate Pie!
Variations for Frozen Chocolate Pie:
-Use a graham cracker crust instead of a pastry crust.
-Top pie with 8 oz. whipped topping instead of whipped cream.
-Sprinkle finished pie with, chopped toasted nuts, chocolate chips or toasted coconut.
