Shrimp Salsa - The Most Mouthwatering Cold Appetizer Recipe
By KC Kudra

Salsa is a great dish to serve at a buffet because it is versatile. People can use it as a salad accompaniment, to dip bread, crackers, or crudites into or as a side dish. There are lots of different types of this sauce you can make and if you are thinking about making easy party appetizers, making your own homemade spicy dip is a great idea because you can make it quickly and just chill it until you need it.

You can also serve salsa if you are having a sit-down dinner because it is a nice accompaniment to your meat, fish, or poultry entree. Simply serve some on the side of the plate or pass it around so people can take as much as they like.

It is best to make your dips mild and let people add their own hot sauce if they want. Not everybody likes hot and spicy recipes and it is easier to make a recipe spicier than to make it less spicy!

The following recipe for shrimp salsa is especially nice because it blends typical Mexican ingredients like tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and lime juice with seasonings such as Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, cilantro, and black pepper.

Adding Seafood to Salsa Recipes

Shrimp might not be associated with such recipes but they are wonderful in this recipe because not only do they give it a gourmet feel but also they also greatly contribute to the fantastic overall flavor. You can also try adding other kinds of seafood instead if you want to. Crab, tuna, and clams are just some of your options.

Salsa is Spanish for "sauce" and this dip can be made with pretty much any ingredients, as long as you stick with tomatoes and onion as the base. Adding shrimp, chicken, beef or another meat or fish livens up the salsa and makes it more interesting.
